Ah, the Jersey shore indeed Tony, a place I have made pilgramages to you annually throughout my life. It’s the most famous ocean line in the US, and no wonder at some point in time it’s served as the setting for some atmospheric noir, such as this Losey gem. Of course years later in 1981, Louie Malle brought his film crew down there to film his masterful ATLANTIC CITY, which again used these intoxicating settings (you could almost taste the salt in the air) to intoxicating effect.
