  1. My favourite part is the lighting, followed by the metaphors. Do they call it chiaroscuro in film or is that just a form of painting and photography. I love how there are always shadows, lightness and darkness, how most of the screen could be smothered in darkness to reveal pieces of light and shade. It adds to the drama of film-noire.

    Nice post. I love the picture of the woman with her back turned to the camera, walking in some dusty creek or something.
